I've got a stock 91 I purchased with 106,000 miles. I thought the car was in great condition when I purchased it. I've spent an additional $6000 on it since I bought it 2 years ago. About half, or $3000, was mandatory! Blown passenger turbo due to the dissentegrated passenger pre-cat, fuel injectors, timing belt, hoses, plugs, fuel dampner etc. I used a rebuilt stock turbo and new stock injectors so I didn't spend alott modifying with go-fast parts. I do most of my own work and I take it to the best Z mechanic in the area (country), Specialty Z, when it is over my head. It is just a matter of time untill things need to be replaced. I just don't think you can keep the car running properly without spending money to fix or maintain and it seems to run a minimum of $100 a month if you average the costs over time. It will be more or less based on how much you can do yourself? Mine is not my daily driver. I can't imagine having to fix it or go without the next day. Most parts aren't that easy to come by in an emergency. Mine has less than 107,000 miles now. It is fun when it runs!
